Getting Started & Features

Q: How do children bring their drawings into Augmented Reality (AR)?

A: Once a child completes a drawing in the app:

  1. Tap the AR Placement mode.
  2. Grant permission to use the camera (required for AR).
  3. Find a flat surface in the room (like the floor or a table) and tap to place the animated drawing into the real world!

Q: Can kids save their drawings to the device?

A: Yes! Kids can save their magic drawings directly to the iPad or iPhone Photo Library using the save button. This requires Photo Library access permission.

Troubleshooting & Permissions

Q: The AR mode isn’t working or shows a black screen. Why?

A: This usually happens for one of two reasons:

  1. Camera Permission is Disabled: The app needs camera access to show your room and place drawings. You can enable it by going to Settings > Animagic > toggle Camera to ON.
  2. Device Compatibility: AR placement requires a device that supports Apple’s ARKit. Most iPhones and iPads from 2017 or newer (A9 chip or later) are fully compatible.

Q: The app won’t save drawings to the Photo Library. How do I fix this?

A: The app needs permission to add photos. You can enable this by going to Settings > Animagic > Photos and setting access to Add Photos Only or Full Access.

Q: Does Animagic work without an internet connection?

A: Yes! Animagic works entirely offline. All drawing tools, Virtual Room features, and AR placements run locally on your device. No internet is required to play.

Q: Is Animagic safe for children?

A: Absolutely. Animagic is designed with children’s safety and privacy as a top priority:

  • No Ads: The app contains no third-party advertisements.
  • No In-App Purchases: There are no hidden fees or gated features.
  • No Tracking: We do not collect, store, or share any personal information or usage data.
  • Local Processing: All drawings and camera feeds are processed locally on the device and never sent to any server.
